A few of the castaways chuckled and immediately started to write their captions, while others sat and thought about what they should write.
Adam: Okay, your 2 minutes are up. Lets see what you got. I need you to bring me your pads up here.
The survivors took Adam their captions and took a seat. After 10 minutes, the judges had read and scored each caption.
Adam: Okay we have a winner. It was an extremely close challenge, and the winner with 23 out of a possible 30 points is Simone.
Simone: Alright!
Adam: Runner up is Steph with 21 points.
Steph: Weeeeeeeee!!!
(Simone and Kevin look at each other)
Adam: Okay yall, you know the drill...Simone and Steph, come on up here.
Simone and Steph stood on opposite ends of Adam.
Adam: Simone, Morongo or Coachella.
Simone: Coachella.
Adam: Okay, make your first pick.
Simone: Amanda.
Amanda looked up, surprised..she looked at Steph and shrugged and slowly went to join Coachellas side.
Steph--Okay, what is going on? Simone picked Amanda first...that was going to be my first pick. Well crap nuggets. So, I was a little confused about why she would do that, so if shes gonna pick one of mine, Im gonna pick one of hers dang it!
Adam: Steph, your pick.
Steph: Emily.
Simone: Nick.
(Steph looked at Simone)
Steph: Tom.
Simone: Chris.
Steph--She was taking my whole tribe!! AHHHH!!!
Steph: Jay.
Simone: Mike.
Steph: Cindi.
Simone: Jawa.
Steph: Paul
Adam: Okay, Simone, Kevin and Daniel left, make your last pick.
Simone: Daniel.
Adam: Kevin, youre over with Morongo. Okay guys, here are the new tribes:
Morongo:
1. Steph
2. Emily
3. Tom
4. Jay
5. Cindi
6. Paul
7. Kevin
Coachella:
1. Simone
2. Amanda
3. Nick
4. Chris

7. Daniel
Adam: You can head back to camp.
Day 7: Coachella Camp
Simone--Well well well, would you look at this tribe. Basically Daniel and I are the only original Coachellas. The rest are Morongo, and thats exactly what I wanted. Kevin, Cindi and I planned it out that if one of us won the challenge we would manipulate the tribal selection to have the majority of Coachella on the runner up tribe with a couple of Morongo so we could start eliminating them. Now Cindi and Kevin are over there with the numbers they need to take out a Morongo.
The new Coachella enters their camp.
Simone: Welcome guys, make yourselves at home.
Amanda: This is where you guys live?
Simone: Yeah
Amanda: Wow.
Amanda--Coachella really did fine for themselves the first 6 days. I mean, we were still building a shelter at the Morongo camp and they had already set up a good shelter, and a good campit was very organized.
Mike: Hey! Come look at this.
(He pulled Amandas sleeve)
Mike: We've made a chart on this rock with specific chores that need to be done, and once someone does that chore for the day, they initial it using this rock. And its a good way to see whos not doing work.
Amanda: Awesome.
Simone--As soon as we came into the camp Mike got hyper and was pulling Amanda and Nick and Chris off to look at things around camp. I dont think anything was really that great that he needed to show them. Im thinking maybe he was in an alliance with them from the beginning and now that hes back with them in a tribe, hes excited and jumping around like an idiot.
Day 7: Morongo Camp
Tom--Talk about the worst possible scenario. Wow. Steph and I got into a tribe with Coachellas...and I think they will be voting together. Jay has already started to open up to them more than he ever did to us for the first 6 days, and if he votes with them, either me or Steph is gone...odds are they'll aim for me, since getting Steph out is a little more difficult since shes the chief. So here I am...in quite a predicament, but dont count Tom out.
Jay--This shuffle REALLY got the game going, and Im glad. It would have been stupid if we would have just stuck to original tribes the whole time..how boring is that? I didnt think anyone would have enough balls to mix the tribes up. If I would have won the challenge, you would have bet I would have shuffled the players like this.
(Tom, Steph, and Jay talk)
Tom: So are we going to stick together for this vote, and vote as Morongo?
Steph: Sounds good to me.
Jay: I dont know.
Tom: Look Jay, I know you and I havent really hit it off or anything, but I think we gotta just watch out for each other for this vote at least.
Jay: Ill let you know man.
Jay--Tom is pathetic. He is squirming cause he knows hes gone if I dont vote with him and Steph. Well, sorry man, but if I let you stay around I'll still be numero uno on your list, and you'll still want to vote me out the first chance you get. I'm not going to let that happen. I said that I'd jump ship first chance I got, and this is my chance.
(Jay and Kevin talk)
Jay: And so when Vanessa came over, it was basically me or her and they told her that I would be the one to go and they made an alliance with her to get me out...then they voted her off.
Kevin: They lied to her?
Jay: Yeah.
Kevin: Thats not right.
Kevin--Jays been letting me in on tribe life in Morongo the first 6 days. Obviously he was the only one with any sense of decency on that tribe. Everyone else is playing hard and they're all conniving, deceptive liars. Im glad that there is a 9...well, now an 8...person alliance out to bring them down. People like them do not deserve to be in the game.
Kevin: Look man, it sounds like you've had a tough time the first 6 days. You got a bad deal. In Coachella, no one is like they are...we play honest and fair. If you want, you can stick with us. Well take out the people who play deceptively...they dont deserve to play.
Jay: Its a deal man.
Kevin--So now we plug in Jay into the spot Vanessa left in the final 9 and were set to go.
