Previously on Survivor Shuffled:

VO: Mike publicly opted out of the Coachella alliance,

Mike: Im thinking about leaving your Coachella alliance.

(Simone froze and looked up at Mike)

(Nick and Amanda looked at each other.)

Simone: Excuse me?

Mike: Im out.  I dont want to be in the alliance you set up any more.

VO: And when the tribes were told to pick an ambassador,

Jawa: In Survivor Shuffled, you too will send an ambassador do represent Coachella in Morongo.  This person can gather any information they need.

VO: Kevin, afraid that Tom would be sent to Coachella, tried to scare Steph into not making Tom the ambassador.

Kevin: I really think, unless you're willing to sacrifice your stay in the game for Tom, you should send someone else over as ambassador.

VO: However his plan backfired, when Emily, who had decided to play individually, was annoyed by Kevins actions and joined with Tom and Steph at tribal council to send Kevin packing,

Adam: Kevin the tribe has spoken.

VO: making it clear that the game had begun.

VO: 13 remain.  Who will go tonight?

Night 9: Morongo Camp

(Tom and Emily talk when they get back to camp)

Tom: Thank you again Emily.

Emily: You are welcome Tom.

Tom: I am in your debt.  If you ever need help, I will be there.

Emily: Thank you.

Emily--I voted for Kevin for 2 reasons.  First of all, I voted for him because of his attitude toward Stephanie.  Second because I wanted to make the statement that this game should be played without alliances.  I dont know how the rest of the alliance will take it but, I feel safe.  If I need help, Tom will be there.

Day 10: Coachella Camp

Nick--Im worried about Tom.  After Mike came clean with the Jury alliance, I thought about who was over there.  You basically have 3 dedicated Coachella, Steph, who would be hard to vote out since shes the chief, Tom and Jay.  Coachella will go for either Tom or Jay and from what I know, Id bet theyd aim for Tom, and Im worried that Jay might even voted with them.  They havent exactly gotten along. 

Nick: Who do you think was voted out?

Simone: I have no clue

Jawa: Tree Mail!  (reading) Brains over brawn, a tribe you will rule. Put your thinking caps on, Get ready for school.

Amanda: Oh boy

Mike: What?

Amanda: Im not the smartest person in the world.

Nick: Haha.

Simone--Im basically just waiting to see what happened over at Morongo.  We had a huge advantage over there, and I hope we capitalized on it.

Day 10: Challenge Beach

Morongo entered from the left, Coachella entered from the right.

Simone notices that Kevin was not present

Simone: What in the world.

Simone--Something happened over in Morongo.  I dont know what went wrong, but we had the numbers in Morongo to get Jay or Tom out.  That is what was supposed to happen, so imagine my dismay when I see Tom and Jay and Steph.  Then I start scrambling to see WHO was not there out of Kevin, Emily, and Paul.  I saw Emily...I saw Paulbut no Kevin.  My heart sank and I knew something had happened to cause him to get voted out.

Adam: Hey guys. Welcome to the 4th chief challenge. Your reign has ended, Simone and Steph. Today's challenge will require more brains than brawn. To win this challenge, youll need a well rounded intelligence of a variety of subjects. You will take a 20 question pop quiz. The 2 who get the most right will be the chiefs. If more than 1 person scores the same high score, we will go into a special face off. Everyone Clear?  Lets get this started then.  There are 13 pads behind you, pick a spot and take a seat.

(The castaways sit)

Adam: Everyone ready?  Good Luck, and here we go.  Question 1: In Chemistry, what element has the atomic symbol of Na?

Adam: Emily, Steph, Jay, Daniel, Cindi say Sodium.  That is correct.

(After 19 questions, the only castaways still in the race were Emily, Tom, Jay, Cindi, Daniel and Simone.)

Adam: Question 20: In music, who composed As Vesta Was Decending?

Adam: Tom, Jay, Cindi, Daniel all say Weelks...they are correct.  Emily and Simone, you are eliminated.

Emily: Okay.

Adam: Heres what were going to do.  We have a 4 way tie between Jay, Cindi, Daniel and Tom.  Im going to ask you questions.  If you get it wrong, youre out.  If youre the last remaining not to have answered incorrectly then you win.

Adam: Okay first question.  What year did LBJ become president?

Adam: Tom says 1963, and he is the only one to get it correct.  He automatically wins, but we still need a runner up to determine our second chief. 

Cindi: Okay.

Adam: What city is the Tower of the Americas in?

Adam: Jay says San Antonio, Cindi says Chicago, and Daniel says Seattle.  The correct answer is San Antonio.  Jay you are the runner up chief.  Okay guys, you know the routine.

(Tom and Jay got up and walked to either side of Adam)

Adam: Tom, which tribe?

Tom: Coachella.

(Simone and Steph look up at him)

Tom--Why did I choose to be Coachella?  Well, after the last couple of days I realized that I could very well be seen as a target.  I think the original Coachella has it set up in their minds that this game is an original Morongo vs. original Coachella thing.  I figured that I needed to sort of go underground and do some things to maybe break down the whole tribe vs. tribe thing.  Picking to be Coachella was just the first step.

Adam:  Okay, Jay, you are Morongo.  Tom, make your first pick.

(Steph started to get up)

Tom: Cindi

(Cindi looked up, and slowly walked over, thinking maybe Tom had made a mistake)

Cindi--I dont know why Tom chose me first.  Maybe he thought he had the tribe going to tribal council.  I dont know.

Adam: Jay?

Jay: Emily.

Jay--Last night at tribal council, Tom was supposed to be voted out 4-3, but instead it was Kevin 4-3.  That means someone changed their vote.  I know I voted the way I said I would, so that only leaves Emily and Paul.  I got them both on my tribe to get to the bottom of who the snake is.

Tom: Steph

Steph: YAY!!!!

Jay: Paul

Tom: Nick

Jay: Mike

Tom: Amanda

Jay: Simone

Tom: Chris

Adam: Okay, Daniel and Jawa are left.  Jay, make your pick, whoevers left will automatically go into Coachella.

Jay: Daniel.

Adam: Okay, Jawa...youre safe from this vote, go with Coachella.  Heres how the tribes look:
