Night 21: Morongo Camp

(Chris, Nick and Amanda return from tribal council)

Nick: The numbers are getting smaller.

Chris: Yeah.

Chris--Tonight I decided to give Jay both of my votes, even though I promised him that I would vote for Nick with him.  Nick doesnt know that I made Jay this promise, and he doesnt have to.

Chris: Jay survived a lot.

Nick: Yeah he did.

Chris: There was just no one else to vote for.

Nick--Yeah...even though Jay had joined the jury alliance, he was with in Morongo in the first 3 days. And for that reason, I think theres just been something unspoken that said that if there was ever an option to for Jay or someone else in the jury alliance, the other person would be voted off.  We held him as long as we could.  The numbers are just dwindling and if we dont merge soon, the votes are only going to get harder and harder.

Day 22: Coachella Camp

Simone: Good morning Daniel.

Daniel: Morning.

Simone--Today is day 22.  22 days of living on this island.  Its crazy.  I really cant believe how fast this adventure is going.

Jawa: Hey guys!  We have tree mail!

(Reading)

Emily: Sounds fun.

Day 22: Challenge Beach

(Morongo enters from the right, Coachella enters from the left.)

(There are 9 tree stumps set along the beach around a big table.)

Adam: Welcome guys.  Go ahead and take a seat; you each get your own stump.  First things first, Chris and Simone, Ill take back the headdresses.  Well begin with our first order of business.  Go ahead and lift up the stump you are sitting on.

(The castaways do so, revealing a red buff)

Adam: You are now Sekani, and you are playing individually, not as 2 tribes.

Nick: Yay.

Adam: There will however still be a chief of the tribe, and everyone will attend tribal council. Okay todays challenge can get very interesting. Were going to play a little game of Would you?

Chris: Awesome.

Adam: One by one, each of you will get a chance to ask another castaway a question. This question is more like a dare. So whats the object of the game? You are trying to force the others to answer with a no. Each one of you has a get out of jail free card that you may use at any point if you do not want to answer yes.

(Tom smiles)

Adam:  However, its your only freebee and from that point on you must answer with yes or no. Once someone answers with a no that person is out of the game. In the end, the person who answers with a no last, will become the first chief of Sekani. All questions must be game related, and you must start off the question with To become chief, would you

Steph: Weeeee!!!

Adam: Anything that you answer yes to you I will hold you to doing. In other words, dont think that you can answer with a yes and expect not to fulfill it in the future. And before you go and think that you will just give up on the challenge just like thatIm going to add a little deal.

Simone: Scary Scary!

Adam: Heres the catch...now that you are one tribe, we really have no reason to keep switching up the chief right?

Tom: Wrong.

(Jawa and Amanda laugh)

Adam: (continues) Win this challenge, and youve secured a spot in the final 4. You will be the untouchable chief of Sekani for a very long time. There is no more overthrowingfor now at least.

Chris: Wowzer.

Adam: With all of this power, some also must be taken away. The chief will no longer get 2 votes. They like everyone else will only be allowed 1 vote. Any questions?

Tom: Does the chief get Marijuana?

Adam: Yes, all they want.  Any other questions? 

Emily: No.

Adam: Good...Im going to give you the opportunity to sit out of this challenge if youd like to do so.  Anyone care to sit out?

Nick: I would.

Daniel: Me too.

Daniel--I have a gift for telling when things are going to get ugly before they happen.  This kind of challenge, where people dared others to do things, could get crazy.  Deals were going to be made, and I didnt want to regret anything.  I like my game just as it is and I dont want to jeopardize it.

 Adam: Okay, thats your choice.  Moving on...you each rolled dice before the challenge to determine who would go first.  Simone, you rolled highest, youre up first.  To everyone, keep in mind that if you answer a yes to these dares, you must fulfill them.

Simone: Steph, to become chief would you vote against yourself at the next tribal council?

Steph: Ummm...Yes.

Steph--This challenge is crazy!!  I  made a promise to Simone already that I wish I could take back.  After that I just wanted out!

Adam: Okay, Steph cant vote for Simone at the next tribal council. (He wrote it on a note pad)

Adam: Steph, youre up.

Steph: This is soooo stressful!!!  I dont know what to ask.  Can I pass?

Adam: Id actually be beneficial for you to ask something but its your choice.

Steph: I pass.

Adam: Okay.  Tom, youre up.

Tom: Simone, to become chief, would you shave your eyebrows off?

Adam: It has to be game related Tom.

Tom: Fine, fine.

Simone: I nearly said yes you know.

Tom: Amanda, to become chief would you tell me who you are in an alliance with?

Amanda: Yes.

Adam: Okay Jawa, youre up.

Jawa: Steph, to become chief, would you promise never to vote me out?

Steph: No.  Im sorry I cant promise that!  Im sooo sorry!!!

Amanda: You dont want to use your free pass?

Steph: No, I dont want to use it.

Adam: Okay, Stephs the first out.  Join Daniel and Nick.  Simone your turn.

Simone: Emily, to become chief would you assign me control over your vote until the final four?

Emily: Yes.

Adam: Alright.  Chris, go for it.

Chris: Jawa, to become chief would you cast every vote you have for the rest of the game against me?

Jawa: Against you?

Chris: Yes.

Jawa: Yes, I would.

(Chris looked surprised)

Chris--I didnt think Jawa would do that.  I thought we were starting to develop an alliance.  It just surprised me.

Adam: Emily...go for it

Emily: Simone, to become chief, would you give me back control of all my votes and not ask me another question in this challenge?

Simone: That's two parts...can she do that?

Adam: It's one question.

Simone: That's two unrelated commitments though..

Amanda: Jeezoo, simone, just say yes or pass.

Simone: Ok...I pass

Adam: That's your freebee.

Simone: I think that is actually unfair but yeah I'll have to pass.

Adam: Go for it Amanda.

Amanda: Simone to become chief, would you vote for yourself the rest of the time you are in the game?

Simone: Stupid question of course not.

Amanda: Bye.

Adam: Ok...2 out...Steph your turn

Steph: Jawa to become chief would you vote for Simone until you get voted out yourself?

Jawa: Yes.

Tom: She's already voting for Chris.

Adam: True.

Simone: But you can't say yes to that.

Chris: You have to say no.  

Adam: You have to say no or use your freebee.

Adam: Jawa...no or freebee?     

Jawa: Freebee

Adam: Tom, you're up.

Tom: Emily, to become chief would you promise not to vote against me until f4?

Simone: She can't promise that.

Emily: Simone is controlling my votes.

Adam: No or freebee?

Emily: Freebee, please.

Adam: Jawa, your question

Jawa: Amanda, to become chief, would u give me control over all your votes, including the vote at the finale??

Amanda: Pass.

Adam: OK...Simone, go for it.

Simone: Amanda to become chief would you give me control over all your votes and any votes you control until you are out of the game, and will you ask Tom to do the same with your next question? 

Amanda: One person controls 3 votes?

Simone: Yes or no?

Amanda: No - screw you guys!

Adam: Amanda's out.  Chris, ask away

Chris: Jawa to become chief, would you tell me do you have a pass left?

Jawa: Yes, and I dont have a pass.

Adam: Emily, ask away.

Emily: Tom, to become chief, would you let me control the rest of your votes until the very end of the game and not ask me another question in this challenge?

Tom: Are you going to force me to vote against myself?

Emily: That isn't part of my question.

Adam: It's all about wheeling and dealing.

Tom: How bout you make it part of the question.

Emily: I can't change my question.

Tom: But I'm wheeling!

Adam: I need some conclusion

Tom: Yes, I will.

Adam: Castaways left: Tom, Jawa, Chris, Emily

Adam: Amanda, youre up.

Amanda: Ok - Emily, to become chief, would you give tom his votes back, and apologize?

Emily: Yes, I will apologize too.

Tom: Aww you're precious

Adam: Steph.

Steph: Tom to become chief would you vote the way you wanted to the rest of the game?  

Tom: Yes.

Adam: Ok...Tom Im going to hold you to that.

Amanda: HaHa

Adam: Ok Tom, batter up or something

Tom: Jawa, to become chief would you drop out of the chief challenge right now?

Jawa: That means if I drop out now I become chief right?

Tom: No, you lose.

Jawa: If I drop out I'm chief.

Tom: No...saying yes to a question doesn't automatically make you the chief.

Jawa: But u asked me to be chief.

Tom: No I asked you to drop out.

Amanda: Its a catch 22.

Simone: I think that paradox question can't work.

Amanda: Cause YOU didn't think of it?

Simone: I think Jawa would drop out of the challenge if it made her chief...so the answer is YES! Since dropping out doesn't make her chief that was a dumb question.

Amanda: Actually it's an ingenious question

Amanda: Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

Adam: I need a yes or no.

Adam: If answered yes, the question does not guarantee you become chief...just like every other question asked so far...it just means you WOULD do it...answering no would result in your loss....so just answer yes or no.

Simone: Adam? If Jawa says yes, does she drop out?

Adam: I have to hold her to it.

Simone: The way I read the question its asking would she drop out if it made her chief?  Since it doesn't make her chief, she shouldn't have to drop out.

Adam: If she says she would, she has to.

Simone: She said she would, in order to become chief...but since dropping out wouldn't make her chief, she doesn't have to drop out.

Adam: I have to hold her to it if she says yes.

Amanda: Look, if she says yes, then the question makes her drop out, if she says no, she is out.

Simone: Its a theoretical question. Its like saying WOULD you drop out to become chief.

Amanda: As every question in this game has.

Simone: The answer would be yes, of course she WOULD drop out.   

Amanda:  Tom came up with the perfect question, deal with it.

Adam: Simone, what exactly do you have a problem with?

Simone: Tom said will you not would you.

Adam: If you want tom to say would instead he can.

Simone: Whatever, I dont care.

Amanda: OH MY GOD THIS GAME ISN'T SCRABBLE!!!

Tom: Okay, Jawa to become chief WOULD you drop out of the challenge now?

Jawa: Yes.

Adam: Ok...Jawa has answered.

Adam: Chris, Tom, Emily left in the game.

Adam: Jawa's up.

Jawa: TOM, to become chief would you give me control over all your votes and drop out of the game now??

Tom: You can't ask that.  I have my votes. I promised that I'd vote how I wanted.

Jawa: Ok, TOM another question...to become chief would u drop out of the game now??

Tom: Pass.

Adam: Simone your question.

Amanda: Come on Simone - start world war 3....

Simone: is Chris next after me?

Amanda: Who cares?

Simone: I care.

Simone: You can leave if you like, but Im playing a game here.

Adam: Yes, Chris is after you in the batting order

Simone: Thanks Adam.

Simone: Chris, to become chief, would you give up the game now, and ask Tom to do the same with your next question?

Chris: Pass.

Adam: Chris you're up.

Chris: Emily, to become chief would you tell me if you had a pass still?

Emily: Yes, I do.

Chris: Crap.

Adam: Emily, take your turn

Emily: Tom, to become chief, will you never vote to remove me from the game?

Tom: Yes, and to clarify, I don't want to vote Emily out of the game.

Simone: This is a bad challenge.

Amanda: You mean vicious.

Simone: Bad is vicious.  Not bad as in bad game wise, just tough and mean and vicious and revealing and nasty....

Amanda: No "vicious" is vicious, "bad" is bad.
 

Simone: Amanda your perspective is a bit different than mine ok?

Adam: Amanda....start us off again.

Amanda: Emily, to become chief, will you drop out now?

Amanda: nothing personal.

Emily: Nope.

Adam: Okay heres where were at.  Tom and Chris are the final 2 castaways left in the challenge.  Steph, it is your question right now.  You may ask either Tom or Chris something.  Tom is next after you so pick your question, and who you ask it to carefully.

Steph: Oh my gosh!!!!  Why did this have to come to me?!?!?

Adam: Basically, if you dont ask Tom something now, it will be his turn and he has the opportunity to take out Chris.

Chris:  Steph, before you ask, please dont ask me.  I dont care what you ask Tom, but please just give me a chance.  If you do I promise that Ill be on your side for the rest of the game.

Steph: Theres already enough pressure on me!

Chris: Tom and I will be cool with what ever you ask.

Chris: Right tom?

Tom: Yeah

Amanda: Flip a freaking coin

Steph: Ok

Steph: Chris, to become chief....would you vote however I tell you to vote for the remainder of the game?

Chris: Dang it...Yes.

Adam: Tom youre up.

Tom: Chris, to become chief, would you drop out of the chief challenge right now?

Chris: Yes.

Adam: Alright, we have a winner.

Simone: So why accept Steph's task then???

Chris: I wasnt thinking...well done Tom.

Tom: Thanks man.

Adam: Tom...you are the Chief of Sekani.  You are safe from being overthrown for now, and have secured a spot in the final 4. 

These were the deals made, and Im holding each of you to them:

1. Steph must vote for herself at the next tribal council.
2. Amanda has to tell Tom who shes in an alliance with at some point.
3. Simone controls Emilys votes until the Final 4
4. Jawa must cast all of her votes against Chris for the rest of the game.
5. Tom must vote the way he wants for the rest of the game.
6. Tom can never, nor never want to, vote to remove Emily from the game.
7. Chris must vote how Steph tells him to for the remainder of the game.
